Work/Life Balance
Rest and relaxation are important to all of us. Waddell & Reed places great value in keeping our employees refreshed, healthy and engaged.
While many companies offer one bucket of Paid Time Off (PTO), Waddell & Reed categorizes time off separately: vacation, personal days, minor illness AND 11 company paid holidays. We believe this is advantageous to our employees as they plan their lives. Employees can plan for vacations, time out of the office for personal errands, volunteering in their child’s classroom, or other activities but can still confidently know they have minor illness available in the case of sickness. Planning for life without feeling guilty is all part of the balance employees find at Waddell & Reed. These benefits are pro-rated during the first calendar year of hire.
